All on the table
I have been talking about getting a nose job forever since I was like 8 and I knew the existence of such a procedure. My uncle has one. Whenever I take pictures I think, damn that'd look good if I had even a remote side profile! I sincerely dislike my nose.

It got me wondering.. I always complain about my boobs being small. But whenever I think, breast augmentation? Mehh. Too much hassle, not worth it. I think my eyes are small, but getting an epi (procedure to enlarge eyes)? Too scary and painful to consider. So the fact is, there are parts of my body I dislike but I don't want/feel like changing because it's not worth it for me. But my nose? Hell yes in a million fantasies I dream I go on some reality show which gives me a beautiful nose and I'm so goddamn happy everytime I look in the mirror.

Then of course, are all the possible side effects/complications. Implant extrusion, infection, nose becoming crooked, nose becoming like Michael Jackson's (!), or the fact that I could need to have more surgeries in the future to correct the implant. Worry, worry, worry.. At the same time it is very true that there is ALWAYS a rate of something going wrong, and it is up to you whether you want to take the risk. It is not a YOLO matter. But then I realised, even if I worried myself away and persuaded myself NOT to go it, then I would still be unhappy with my face. Instead you could say I would rather be off treating my nose problems (in the event that infection/extrusion occurs) than living with my old nose.

Another factor is whether I should let anyone know if I did it. At first I was all Xiaxue and thinking I would Instagram my post-op nose, before after pics, and let people touch my nose to see how hard it is and all that bollocks. And then I had doubts. What if I ever want to run for election in the future LOLOL what will happen to people's image of me.? Plus there are still people like my own classmates who are very against plastic surgery.

So I've decided that if I do it, I won't tell anyone unless they ask. Because strangely, I don't feel many people will quite notice someone's change in height of nose unless I go extreme which I won't, I will only go natural. If some random stranger asks me why is my nose swollen I might even lie and say "Got into an accident" rather than tell the truth because sometimes it is hard for people to hear that you have gone for surgery. People will be going all "Are you stupid?!" "You should have done it later in your life" "I would never have done something like that."

But hey, since you really want it, there's no time better than the present right? It's time to put all the courage on the table and GO FOR IT. Since you really want to change it, there's no bigger regret than not doing it sooner. I'm not seeking for anyone's approval, I doubt my own boyfriend or family approves. I'm sure whoever has a tattoo would understand my feelings about this.

Also, people who say "Accept what God gave you": Why be happy with something you hate but are naturally born with if you have the ability to fix it? Isn't it the same as makeup, and dyeing my hair, painting my nails, wearing contacts? How come people can go for laser surgery to correct myopia when they can just "live with it" and "accept it" but they are not criticized?

So that's it. A short post to explain why, in the coming few months, I might become a totally different person with a higher sense of confidence albeit just a small facial change. I am looking forward to this change, I am excited, and anxious, but on top of that I finally feel like I'm going to be very happy, happier than I am right now.

Thanks everyone for reading.

For You :)
This post is dedicated to you! :)

I should probably be blogging about Grad Night but I'm wayy too tired and it's my off day from work, cut me some slack!

So anyways, YOU. I'm seriously glad that I have you in my life. I know this sounds cheesy and I don't care who reads this and judges but sometimes I'm just so glad and happy to have you by my side.

Some of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for me came from you. And I still remember how in the beginning I doubted if we were right for each other because I didn't think you would be the kind who does something special and has that thought to do all the cheesy stuff and I might feel neglected, unhappy, etc. But it couldn't be further away.

I entered this with no expectations, no high hopes, but good thing is, I didn't come into this with the thinking that "confirm it won't last" as I always do. I didn't think about the end, I thought just about NOW. You changed a lot, in a good way, to me, and I hope I changed too. You've made me a more positive person, you have. Now that I think about it, my love life has been pretty lucky. Not miserable/fail as I thought. Amicable, if not then clean breakups, and I've been lucky to stumble across you in my path.

You're one of the most sincere, honest, straightforward and uncomplicated guys I've ever met. You're more of a girl than you let on and though you have spoiled me constantly but you have made me a better person because I don't give you shit and I become a better human being when I'm with you. I respect you too much and I see you as an equal, someone to share everything with and not someone to take the blame and anger for everything that goes wrong. I'm a better person because I want to be better for you. Learning to control my temper, my demands, and trying to be more understanding.

Never once have you let me down when I need you. I can always count on you and it makes me relieved to know that there is someone for me in my life. I'm sure we can pull through everything, and I'll be waiting for you and I know you will too. <3 You have always been so true and sincere it melts my heart. I know that when I'm sad, you're sad. I know that whenever I go to bed upset you can't sleep too. I know you're always here for me because you don't say these things just for the sake of it but because you are sincere :)

I love our movie nights and our beer challenges. I will always remember being carried across the road by you on July 14th and I will always remember our mad dress dash HAHA. :) Thanks for everything love, you're the best <3

According to Foursquare
According to foursquare, we're 602 miles away.

According to my pilot, the distance between our cities are 960 km.

Numbers, which signify the endless miles.

I'm excited to go back to see you and all my wonderful friends again next week. Life is dreary here.

But I'm also sad, because after the next trip is over, I won't have anything to look forward to anymore. Stuck here for 7 months. I can't do it. I need to go back at least once more. :(

Need to work and earn money. Just so I can escape here. I don't know why but I feel like I'm in a cage every time I'm back. Maybe I forgot my roots already but all I know is, I am never coming back to this small town. I love my hometown, I will always miss home, but my heart and soul's somewhere else now.

Life is a constant stream of change, relocation, and new roads in the future. Looking forward to where the next road takes me <3

Smart Consumer
Staying up late because I'm watching UEFA and also because I'm reading reviews online. I am positively ANAL about reviews. Let it be buying phone, buying camera, getting a digital perm, buying lenses and so on, I'll be glued to the screen reading up on each product for weeks on end. Yes, I do my research before buying something, which is why I gain a lot of unnecessary knowledge about lenses and megapixels and phone processors and etcetera. I am a giant perfectionist and thus I want to get the perfect product!

Right now my current research is on BB creams. It's so hard to choose! I have to decide if I want oil control, light or strong coverage, and so on, and worse is the price factor is also a big factor. I reviewed so many lenses that by now I know what I want (yay!)

Right now I'm googling on hair colours to dye ! My parents want it a darker shade for my upcoming interview, so I'm going to dye it. I actually quite like my hair colour now, it's a bit washed out and light at the ends but it looks good in pictures. I last dyed it in late August and touched it up around January, so my roots are pretty bad now :( If I dye it now by the same time next year it'll be ugly again when I start school :( but what to do, right now I'm researching on hair colours. So far all my colours have been a red or violet base, maybe I'll try an ash brown? But ash doesn't last long so I want a purple ashy hair colour like this:

And maybe next year I'll dip dye or highlight it with pinks or purples ;) It's time to do something daring! And I want to get a tattoo too! :) YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!

Some pictures of dinner with my girls at Sharing Planet:

Chai and I :)

Shelly and I :)

Dada and I :) She's the birthday girl!

Missed my girls and all our crazy high school times! So good to catch up and talk again :) We don't need to stay in touch because we've known each other so long it's the same everytime!

It's True!
I read Xiaxue's post about the Secret just now and suddenly I realised well, yes, it might be true.

I remember back in Form 4 when Churchill and Jeff showed me the Secret, I scoffed and being my usual cynical sarcastic self I mocked them and the book because I dismissed it as superstitious optimistic bullcrap.

But now I think back, some of the best things in my life are due to the fact that I used the Secret. I know, when it's endorsed by my idol I  see it in a new light.

At times I'm still sad and feel lonely and I don't like the way my life is going.

I don't practice the Secret 100% because I still have a lot of negative emotions such as doubt, depression, jealousy.

But let me list down the things I've gotten from the Secret.

1. Medicine. I lived my life in depression and fear that I wouldn't get to change my course to Medicine. But I just pretended I could! I just planned my life and told everyone as if I'd already changed it. And voila, I can!

2. Studies. Everytime no matter how well prepared I am for exams I confidently tell myself that I can do it and I chant it to myself about 100 times a day. During SPM I chanted it during doing a paper. I do it for presentations too to pep myself up but I think that is just a confidence boost and not the Secret at work.

3. Breakup. I kept telling myself that life would be better after my breakup, and it did! I am so much happier with so many more friends and as a plus now there's someone better in my life!

Shall put the Secret at work again soon! :)

Self Reflections
I hate how I always think I am better than people. My one year here in college has humbled me down a lot but at the same time I still feel like I judge people too much.

Not to say judge people, but I categorise someone instantly. Into smart, ambitious, or into fun-loving and irresponsible. Some fall in the middle. Sometimes I feel I am too intense for myself. Every day of my life I am reminded of what I want to achieve in the next 10 years, of how life would be. I spend too much of the present obsessing about the future and how much I want to leave a mark on the world. I'm one of those people (like Voldemort) who would do anything for immortality. Because I simply do not want to leave this world.

Sometimes I envy those fun-loving people who seem to have no worries or cares beyond the immediate moment or maybe tomorrow. I've never had that life. I have been strictly controlled with no free will on my own until recently, and I wonder how I would be if I had been given so much opportunity for fun as they have while I was growing up.

Nevertheless, this is one aspect of myself I'd like to change because I feel like it's not healthy to objectify and label people.

Anyways, I received some pretty good news lately. Honestly, I've been living in fear all this while. Living with regrets over my choice for the future. Wondering if in 5 years time, I would look back and regret upon my choices and be envious of those who are living my dream just because of a stupid mistake I made. It feels like I've been given a second chance to redeem myself and make everyone proud now though. Though it's not a sure thing, yet hope is there now. I don't have to walk through Monash with a heavy heart staring at the building I wonder if I would ever set foot in, or looking at my friends and wondering if they would forget me if we parted ways. I'm very glad now that I know what I want to do, I have the chance to do it. Indeed it feels like a silver lining behind my cloud. Suddenly all my pain and problems this past few months seem hardly worth mentioning, because finally what matters most in the long run looks promising. :)

Also, I have realised that to love, is to be selfless, and let a person go so that they will be happy. To smile when they are happy, instead of wondering why you are not their happiness, is courage, and that's called love.

Addictions
Yesterday was a good and happy day. I mean, small things happened that made it feel like a lucky day.

Bio was ok. Maths was higher than I expected. ISAT was a happy thing. First to pass up and I did well. It was not a very hot day. I woke up at 10. Supposed to have a meeting at 5.30. At 3.30 Math was dismissed, and I was like, "eee no fair I wana go home early too!" and then I suddenly received a text, meeting cancelled :)

GOOD DAY INDEED.

Anyhow, addictions.

It's amazing how people get addicted to certain things.

I'm so addicted to lenses I can't go out without them.

I'm so addicted to makeup that I can't leave without SOME.

I'm addicted to a lot of things, which I can't leave the house without.

Do you know what it's like being me? I must be the most anxious person I know. Everyday a million thoughts run in my head and I can't do anything because I'm worryin.

Should I bring a bigger bag out?

Should I bring my camera in case I need to take photos?

What if I lose my camera and regret ever bringing it out?

Should I bring my lens case?

Seriously, life is like this to me.. Always second guessing stuff.

Anyways, I've been trying to keep my feelings in check.

That's Love.
When I'm looking at how
The wind makes ripples in the water
But my thoughts are only of you
That's love.

When I'm falling asleep
With moonlight shining in
But I'm only missing your touch
That's love.

When I'm laughing at a joke
Till my sides ache
But I'll want to tell you too
That's love.

When I'm enjoying my fries
At some random McD
But I want to share 'em with you
That's love :)

Disclaimer: But ice cream's still off limits.

A very blonde and drunk picture.

Rainy Days, And Thoughts
It's not too soon to forget what pain feels like.

Sometimes I think nothing can be more painful than say, losing your first love, or first family member, and so on. Or am I just sentimental that way?

Being back here sort of reminds me of how broken I was. The clammy hands, the anxiety, the pounding heart and sharp pain in the abdomen, accompanied by a constant sense of loneliness and as if tears could at any second overflow.

That is something I never want to feel again, if I can avoid it (which is pretty impossible). Everyone changes, only when something ends do you realise that the person that you used to love has changed, and how different they are. Everyone will show their cruel side, and it'll catch you off guard. Be warned. You'll never expect it, and you wouldn't be able to believe it.

I remember days of just lying in bed staring at the ceiling, and not even eating one bite for days. I remember everytime I brushed my teeth and looked in the mirror I would cry and automatically whenever I cry, I'd gag and vomit. I have no idea why but whenever I'm very upset, I get really bad gastric.

I am very impressed whenever I let my mind wander back to those times of intense pain and crying every night, etc. Because I was strong enough to withstand it. I know I can do it again. But at the same time, I doubt I'd let anyone in that deep as that one time. Experiences change people in ways that are often permanent.

But when I can look back at the memories and smile because they happened, and not cry because they ended, do I truly know I have closure. Being the romantic sentimental girl I am I'd always care. Once you love someone, you'll always leave a piece of you with that person. That's what I believe.

This post was inspired after a certain trip to a nearby bridge. Looking over the bridge, feeling the wind on my face, I felt strangely melancholy. I know that if it had been 4 months ago, I'd have cried and thought bitter thoughts, as I do in every emo/beautiful setting. But now, I'm fine. Yet it got me thinking. And after reaching home, I took out the Box and packed it away without even thinking about it. It symbolises something, though I don't know what.

Maybe.. Peace? :)

Home In Kuching :)
Yea, I'm home again. It feels good to be home here again, seeing the same old sights that I've grown up around for the past 18 years. So nice to breathe Kuching air, to drive past familiar buildings. But at the same time, something's changed. I know that it's the start of a long process of no longer being home. Growing up, getting a job, getting my own place.. It's inevitable, and this is the start of it.

I remember the day before I left, when I looked at my bed and said goodbye (LOL i did). And I wondered when I would see it again, and now here I am. In bed.

I feel a bit disconnected, as if the past few months haven't happened at all.

I miss KL though, and I am a bit sad thinking of all the fun they're going to have without me there in KL :( I'm going to miss late night outings.

And of course, I miss a certain person too :)

Once and For All
Something quite amazing has happened to me. And I no longer want to that girl who's always holding back and always being uncertain, when I'm naturally the kind who wants to announce to the whole world, and love with all my heart and soul and give everything I've got. Seriously, I just want to put aside the uncertainties and worse case scenarios and I just want to announce to the world everything that I'm happy about.

I've met someone who makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, and who makes me feel special and who makes me able to trust again. :) And best of all, I've met someone whom I can talk to and who makes me happy. So though the road ahead is uncertain, I'd just like to take this moment to smile at all the memories so far since the first day we met.

I guess it's not how long you've known a person that determines the strength of your feelings for them, but instead it's just how much trust and love you have in that person. Sometimes trust and love comes naturally despite any barriers you put up to protect yourself. In the end, I just have to embrace it : )

Photo taken at Petaling Street!

Everything is really crazy and unreal that i can't really believe what is happening , but it's all in a good way. Caught in a whirlwind must be an appropriate term for what I'm feeling. But right now I don't even want to think about you not being there in my life. So yeah. Call me crazy or naive or whatever, but when I say it back, I mean it : )

I think too much. Way too much. I guess being happy scares me. Trusting a person scares me. It's so hard for me to believe what someone is saying without thinking they have an ulterior motive.

Trust? I rarely ever trust. Because, I know the sweetest guys cheat on their girlfriends, the best friends backstab you. I know people talk about me behind my back. I just choose to smile and ignore it. Doesn't mean it hurts less.

Not trusting someone, but wanting to trust someone.. This is the basis of all doubts.

Life is good here though. Despite being broke and starving, I have control of my life here. I'm independent and doing it all on my own :) and that's an amazing feeling.

Hi everyone!
I'm in Sunway now and totally enjoying it. Not feeling a bit homesick at all. I made friends (phew!) and everything is great, my apartment, the people, the social life, the freedom and independence.

I can go out anytime I want, anywhere I want, with whoever I want. Of course, there are a few downsides like having to worry about where and what to eat, what to wear (and when I can reuse it so I don't have to do so much laundry) and worrying constantly about money but it's fine for me :) i'm adapting well. And since I'm not one of those spoilt kids who have always had a lot of parents' money to spend and am now at loss because ends don't meet, I'm really doing fine. Bought maybe a little too much though what with bags and a top and so on. And I have to buy a few hundred bucks worth of books and an extremely expensive calculator, so yeah. NEED TO STARVE.

I needn't worry about not making friends. I hope people in Sunway like my company? :) I have met some awesome people like Yee Munn, Cassandra and so on. And also Carson, since he blogged about me so I'll blog about him :D He's an awesomely funny guy who *used to be* very buff and he's extremely quirky and also act cute almost all the time AND he takes ugly pictures of me and causes me to lose about RM5 of credit a day AND he's prettier than me so I kinda hate him though he's awesome!

Gosh just look how much fairer he is in this picture! He motivates me to put on lots of skin cream.

Classes shall start soon! I missed my first class because I overslept WTF it was the most unlucky day ever and then my phone broke down and then my hairdryer went nuts and my laptop jammed and my broadband expired and it was such a Black Friday.

Movie tomorrow! I AM NOW SO BROKE THAT SOON I SHALL BE BOILING GRASS TO EAT. Still, I love my life here :)

Lasallian Convention
So today, 3 different people have come up to me and said the exact same sort of thing.

I feel really messed up right now. Like awaiting karmic retribution.

I think sometimes I just think everyone and everything is a big joke and before I know it things go out of hand. I have seen so many ploys, the emo guy ploy, the spare part ploy and so on.

Changing topic....

Ok so I haven’t really been keeping up with my blog. I’m sorry. Things have been sort of hectic at home what with my aunt staying here with her 3 kids. I’m going slightly nuts even.

I need like 10 passport size photographs, 10 certified IC’s, Leaving Certs and my PMR/SPM certified slips. And passport too wtf.

Anyways I went to the Lasallian Convention and it was amazing. Let me try to run through..

First day, checked in. Then had a telematch thingy in which I was blindfolded. Well as it is in games we all make friends pretty quickly and it was fun. Then I TOOK BATH. This is in caps because IT WAS IN SCHOOL. I put my bucket on THE FLOOR. Which must have been peed on by countless girls……..

Anyways, then we watched the Heritage Play and then lights out. It was one of the worst nights in my life as it was so hard and uncomfortable. My bones were smacked up on the floor, my nerves were squashed FML. It was hot and I had so many mosquito bites. I tried to talk on the phone and dozed off at 2. Then I awoke to Jacky shining his flashlight on us and he then gave me a mosquito patch yay.

Second day we had breakfast (for me the food was ok!) and then we had sessions about La Salle, school and so on. Oliver piggybacked me and we were squashed like sardines HAHAHA. Then in the afternoon we had a Creative Workshop and we danced and had a lot of fun.  At night we had a Spirituality Hunt and it was awfully stressful and freaked me out and I died from heat and stress I think. All the OT’s were retarded or crying or sick or so on and we knew we had to help them but then we couldn’t complete our hunt so yeahh.

Ummm I sorta lost track. Anyways we had a Guardian Angel thingy going on and also affirmation tags so we kept writing lame messages to each other. On this day… I kind of don’t know what went on. More sessions, sing-a-longs, energisers, dancing, and activities like Action Planning. And then we had games and presentation. For this we did a play, which I’m proud to say I directed :D and I starred as the tragic teacher who got bullied and almost died from brain tumour. It was funny cause I actually pulled down a guy’s sarong LOL and Naven who was principal got attacked by our out-of-control actors HAHAHAHAH.

Then we had an epic closing in which we were led to do dumb stuff which we failed HAHA such as blowing a candle from the other end of the room and so on. Till now, I don’t get what was the point other than being awesomely romantic. Then we camped out on La Salle Square and told ghost stories and dirty jokes for the whole night (some of us la) and in the end I dozed off at 7 something together with a bunch of other nuts.

It was seriously an awesome experience and I miss it already! I miss meals and bathtimes and saying hi good morning to everyone and till now we still say hi to each other ;)

Oh and then next morning I had my Asean test. Now, photos!
