I can't believe I spent the whole day on the computer. The whole day. Editing my blog. See, I got a funny idea to change my blog layout without losing my page elements. So I looke dup online on how to do it.
Then I got the codes and all was done. Or actually, I got Aaron to do it for me! For your noble deed, you have earned a
special mention in my blog (means you didn't piss me off and so I'm not writing about you negatively).
Anyway, there was a looong afternoon of stress and hard work as I modified the codes. I can actually recognize them and memorize them now, and I can insert stuff like colour and page breaks and lines into the 'Edit HTML' box.
Might not sound like much, but for a girl who's practically computer-illiterate, this is an awesome achievement in the space of 1 looong afternoon
I(and Aaron) managed to input my chat box, my Mixpod, and my links. I was particularly unlucky that i picked a layout that
- Had no post header
- Had no footer(means no comments)
- Had no profile
- Had no Blogger navbar
- Had weird contents and a blog title belonging to the creator of the layout that I had to carefully remove one by one and insert my own sentences
- Had weird emo pictures
After vigorous editing by Aaron, there were problems which made my perfectionist streak appear....
- The links were different coloured
- If I blogged two posts in 1 day, the 2nd post had no title or header or footer
- The colours weren't that attractive
So then, I tweaked around and finally got it! I achieved these following
- colour perfection
- a colourful blog title
- picture!
- header
- footer
- widgets
But still, the only things that just can't be done would be to add blog description or to add blog followers T.T
My fault for picking a 'cacat' layout.
But still, I learnt a bundle!!!
And now I don't have to use the ugly boring layouts from Blogger anymore!
Random note: I saw Miss Susie at Saberkas.
P.S. This thing, changing layout for a whole 12 hours, is a good project when you're particularly free.
